Wise Use of Credit
Owe no one anything, except to love each other,
for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
– Romans 13:8
The first time I sensed I might have a problem with debt was when I applied for yet another consolidation loan and was refused. When I calculated what my basic monthly expenses were, including my monthly minimums, I was shocked to realize that I could no longer live merely on a cash basis without being subsidized by a credit card. I was caught in the debtor’s common symptom of “terminal vagueness.”
– A Currency of Hope
And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do and I do not forsake them.
– Isaiah 42:16
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
